History

"Where yesterday meets tomorrow"

John Sells and his brothers platted part of their land to establish a village in 1810. He asked John Shields, the surveyor who platted the site for him, to name the village which up to then had been known as Sells Settlement. Shields named it Dublin after his home in Dublin, Ireland. Dublin retains an Irish feel. They host an enormous St.Patty’s Day Party every year.

Dublin is served by two school districts. Dublin City Schools are graded A+ and ranked #6 of 605 in Best schools to work for and #7 of 605 best school district.

Columbus Zoo & Aquarium

Ranked #1 Best Zoo in 2012, the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium is home to over 800 animal species representing eight regions of the world. The Zoo operates a Safari Golf Club, Zoombezi Bay Waterpark & a conservation program.

The North Market Bridge Park

The North Market opened its second location at Bridge Park in Fall of 2020. The market has several merchants and food vendors.

The Bridge Street District

The spring of 2020 welcomed the opening of the Dublin Link. A pedestrian bridge crossing the Scioto River,
it’s the longest single-span, single tower S-shaped suspension bridge in the entire world.
